POWER HEAD ENGINE 21US

This is the 1st edition of the TecnoPower "Just Better"  MARINE range of competition engines.
An engine for proven winners, including the experience of 3 worldchampionship titles inside! The M02 - Powerhead Engine 21US version could be considered one of the better .21 size Marine engines.


This TecnoPower M02-21US engine is an almost "BOLT-ON" version for the LAWLESS and K&B outboard drives already on the market. 
On this "M02" model we deliberately did not included our own carburetor, this to make the engine as universal as possible. Compatible carburetors with a 15 mm neck can be used on our engine.


The TecnoPower M02 features a specially developed marine coolinghead where we guide the water all around inside the cooling-head for optimum cooling. 



The TecnoPower M02 features a chrome-plated brass liner with 5 intakes and 1 exhaust for high durability and long life. A fully machined silicium charged aluminum piston with special designed lubrification rings for low friction properties between the piston and sleeve.

 
The TecnoPower conrod is made out of the best available aluminum and its knife-edged design made to reduce internal turbulention, special selected bronze material for the bushing is used to decrease the internal friction and wear. A special and new way for the lubrication of the crankshaft-pin is used for this conrod to increase the lubrication film and reduce friction.


The special TecnoPower Outboard "Clock-Wise Rotating" crankshaft is made from a special steel containing an unique compositon and heat-treatment, machined and finished to perfection. The special shape of the crankshaft and specially developed timing is ideal for outboard racing.


The backplate-unit which connects the TecnoPower "M02" head-engine to the LAWLESS or K&B outboard-drive has been made with extreme precision and adapted with perfection to be able to transfer all the (tecno)power to the flexshaft.  



All the bearings inside this TecnoPower "M02" engine are selected HighSpeed bearings. These bearings are of the best quality available to obtain the highest relaiability and performance.


The flywheel set supplied with the TecnoPower engine is made out of aluminum and lightened inside. The flywheel can be firmly fixed onto the crankshafts using a brass cone and a Stainless Steel 13mm nut.



The combustion chamber used in this TecnoPower "M02" is for to recieve the STD/Normal type of glowplugs.

The boat itself :
The boat(or also called tunnel) we have used to make our testing was the Aquacraft TS3, this boat has been prepared by our friend Niklas Edlund and we have used his setup and experiences to develop and adapt even more our TecnoPower Powerhead engine for this application.
