Today we are Friday 9 April 2010 and we are just finishing the final preparation of our "B01" TecnoPower engine, all is set and we have made the first roll-out on our parking in front of our facility. All seems to be working well but we still need to finalize some real life tests in real racing circumstances. So for this I have sacrifised myself...:-) to try and do some off-road racing again. The last time I have tried to do this was during an official RB race where I teamed up with Guilliaume Vray and where he let me drive his Mugen off-road car. This in fact was a good experience since I did not need to do anything but just drive and I have to admit that this was an interesting experience..., anyway, now in this situation I am just curious to understand the feel of our new TecnoPower "B01" engine is working under racing conditions.
So on Sunday 11 April 2010 we will have the first shakedown of our TecnoPower "B01" engine, this Tecnopower engine has the following specs:

The Sunday race
|
|
The race we were attending was in a very nice area in a small sporting complex. When we woke up in the moring a dissapointing rain and cold wind was present and we hoped to have some better weather when arriving at the track but unfortunately not really...
So at the first practise sessions we had to run the new car and engine in humid circumstances. Anyway, it was very hard for me to make the jumps and to find a resonable setup of the car but we finally managed to get something together. The TecnoPower "BO1" engine was working great. During the qualifiers things we not so easy but I gathered some important information I needed for to get the feel of the engine and for this I had come to this race for.
In the semi final I was doing quite well untill my receiver pack died, this was my own fault because I was thinking that the pack would hold for some time but in fact it did not and so I had to retire from the race before the end, next time I promise to charge my batterypack...:-)
Anyway the TecnoPower "B01" passed the tests and after a thorough inspection of the engine on monday morning at the factory we can announce that this engine will be available soon through our TecnoPower distributors network.

The car after some practise, already the potential of the TecnoPower "B01" was showing in a positive way.
